                   AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING AN ALLEY
                   LOCATED SOUTHEAST FROM CENTRAL AVENUE, BETWEEN
                   EAST 3RD STREET AND EAST 5TH STREET, MORE
                   PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby 
closed
         and abandoned an alley located southeast from Central Avenue,
         between East 3rd Street and East 5th Street, more particularly
         described herein, and as shown on plat attached hereto and made 
a
         part hereof by reference:
                A 15 foot wide unopened alleyway beginning on the
                southeast line of Central Avenue 100 feet southwest
                of the intersection of the southeast line of
                Central Avenue with the southwest line of East 3rd
                Street, and extending southeast 137.5 feet between
                parallel lines, and parallel to East 3rd Street, to
                the centerline (if extended) of a 15 foot alleyway
                abandoned by City of Chattanooga Ordinance No.
                7602.  Said alleyway separates lots 1-6 and part of
                lot 7, block 1, from lot 20, block 1, Sun-Rise
                Terrace, as shown by plat of record in plat book 7,
                page 23, ROHC.  Tax Map No. 146A-M-1.
               
               
              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage as 
provided
         by law.
